Are Dental Implants Right For Me?

May 25, 2018Dr. Khurrum AshrafDental Health

We believe everyone has the potential for a stunning new smile, and our mission is to give patients the freedom to smile with confidence again. Dr. Ashraf and his talented team can use a variety dental implant solutions to give you the smile you’ve been dreaming of.

If you’re feeling hesitant about taking the first step to a better smile, you are not alone. Our team is here to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Here are some common questions patients have about dental implants.

What Makes Dental Implants Different?

Dental Implants are so revolutionary due to their design. They function much like natural teeth. We use CeraRoot zirconia implants to replace the natural root of your tooth and a custom-made porcelain crown to replace the missing tooth itself. Since your new implant is attached directly to your jaw, it offers a more natural look and feel, unlike any other tooth loss solution.

How Long Do Implants Last?

Implants are incredibly long-lasting. In fact, with proper care, they can last a lifetime. We take pride in how effective and durable our implants are. Enjoy the freedom to live life on your own terms. Your teeth won’t hold you back.

What If I’m Missing Most or All of My Teeth?

Dr. Ashraf understands the struggles of missing teeth. That’s why we have implant solutions for any number of missing teeth. Whether you’re missing a single tooth or need an entire arch of teeth replaced. We have the solutions to restore your smile.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Snap-on dentures are a great option for many patients that are missing a large portion of their natural teeth. They provide the convenience of traditional dentures since they can be removed for cleaning, as well as the full benefits of dental implants.

What Are the Advantages of Dental Implants?

There are many benefits of dental implants, and Dr. Ashraf and his team can’t wait to help you discover them. Here are few of the ways implants will change your life.

Enjoy Meals Again

Solutions such as traditional dentures supply only a fraction of the chewing efficiency of natural teeth. Dental implants deliver the chewing efficiency you need to enjoy your meals with ease.

Convenient

Taking care of implants is simple. Brush and floss dental implants like natural teeth. They require little to no extra work to maintain. You can forget about tooth loss and spend more time doing the things you love.

Natural

Our implants are designed to seamlessly blend into your smile. They look incredibly natural. Only you and our team will be able to tell that you have implants.

Am I a Candidate?

The dental implant treatment is extremely reliable, boasting a success rate of over 95 percent. If you’re looking for a tooth loss solution that restores your oral health, can replace any number of missing teeth, and gives you the freedom to smile without a second thought, then implants may be just the restorative treatment you’ve been looking for.

Dr. Ashraf provides a number of supplemental procedures to help prepare you for dental implants. When you’re ready to take the first step on the path to your dream smile, schedule a visit with Dr. Ashraf. He will work with you to find the tooth loss solution that will restore your smile.

Welcome Back

Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once again provide dental care for you and your family. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.

• We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you’ll be asked those same questions again when you’re in the office.

• You may be asked to wait outside our office or in your car and call us when you arrive and then wait for a call back to let you know when you can enter the office.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed. As well, you will be provided some gloves to wear. We recommend that you bring your own mask to wear prior to entering the clinic.

• Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect.

• Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

• You may be surprised that we’re wearing more protective gear – such as masks, face shields, gowns – than we normally do during your visit.

Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team. We have undergone some renovations during this time. All operatory suites have been fully enclosed with glass windows and doors. This will ensure that all aerosols will be contained in the operatory. Prior to COVID-19, we had already installed Hepa filtration systems in all operatories and waiting areas. These systems are from Surgically Clean Air.

We look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make an appointment, call our office at 519-725-9585 or email us at info@drkashraf.com.

Thank you for patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back!

Sincerely,

Dr K Ashraf and the whole Dental Team.
